Numbing Agents

We live in a world that talks about loss, hurt, and pain without teaching us how to feel loss, hurt, and pain.

Instead, we’re encouraged to numb it out.

As a result, we become afraid of uncomfortable feelings and so the part of self generating those feelings gets stuck in unconsciousness.

However, your soul is not afraid of your pain.
Your soul does not need numbing agents to try to not feel hurt and loss.

This lesson focuses on interrupting the numbing cycle that is responsible for perpetuating fear of uncomfortable feelings.

Testimonial

“I found it amazing how many numbing agents I use on a daily basis to hide from my inner truth and emotional pain: overdoing for others, putting on a painted smile, sarcasm, saying 'I’m fine.' Thank you for giving me the tools to help me identify what I have been doing and giving me the safe space to be vulnerable and grow.”

Deborah Grassman

Founder

Few people have been with 10,000 dying veterans; Deborah Grassman is one VA hospice Nurse Practitioner who has. Dying veterans taught her lessons about how to attain personal peace. Ironically, those lessons came from people who had been trained for war! As a result, a phenomenon known as “Soul Injury” has now emerged as a relevant healthcare issue for the public. She contends that 10,000 dying veterans have lessons that the rest of us need to learn! Deborah is the author of two books, Peace at Last and The Hero Within. She is a contributing author for four textbooks, has 25 published articles, and there are 5 documentary films featuring her work.
